The City of Thunder Bay, Ontario

One interesting fact about this city is that even if it is a huge one it has only been around as a whole since 1970. Until then, Thunder Bay was actually two really big communities. These communities were called Fort William and Port Arthur and the reason why they were separated is because they had a large swamp between them. The swamp has been constructed and since 1970 the two communities have merged into Thunder Bay. You must also know that this city is a stretched one from north to south. It is said that it can be quite impossible to walk the whole town from north to south or vice versa because it is really long! Well, in fact the city can be walked. However, you should only attempt to do it during summer. If you will do this during winter time then you will probably freeze in the first 5 minutes of walking and you will run to have a hot coco. This is why there is a special bus line that goes from one part of the city to another every day sever times a day. The city council is also working on developing skating and bicycle tracks that people can use. It could be really fun to take your bicycle or rollerblades together with your friends and set on a tour around the whole city one day.
